Winter Hiking to Petrostrouga refuge 1.940m. (Mt. Olympus)

Trekking Hellas Mt.Olympus organizes 1-day winter trips to Mt. Olympus at the Petrostruga Refuge (1940m). Built in a beautiful forest of beech and centuries-old rombola, Petrostruga refuge on Mt. Olympus offers a wonderful view of the mountain and the towering snow-capped peaks on the one hand and the sea and the endless blue that stretches out at the foothills of the mythical mountain!

The ascent is made from the classic path and the route is of moderate difficulty (depending on the height of the snow), but ideal for an introduction to hiking in a snowy field. Most of the path is in a dense beech forest, while from the aqueduct onwards the beech is replaced by centuries-old rombola.
