Hiking in Kalypso gorge

The Gorge of Kalypso is located in eastern Kissavos, above the village of "Kokkino Nero"  - renowned for its red water spa springs. It is an evergreen gorge with dense vegetation, natural pools, flowing waters that form beautiful waterfalls, creating a landscape of unparalleled beauty.

Starting from Kokkino Nero we drive to the Kalypso Gorge. A short uphill hike of about 30 minutes leads us to the big waterfall and its beautiful lagoon for a dive and refreshing swim!

We follow the same path, for our return, stopping at the "dimosia" to enjoy a flavorful picnic. After the break, we continue on a trail for 1.5 hours, which leads us to a natural pool for bathing and treatment with argil (natural clay). Alternatively, we head to the cold water spa at Kokkino Nero for a mud bath!

* Those who don't want to continue walking have the option of going directly to Kokkino Nero by vehicle.
