Between Meteora and Grevena, inside an environment of unique natural beauty, the rivers Venetikos and Aliakmonas colide, creating the perfect conditions for exciting rafting descents for the lovers of action and nature!
We meet at the rafting base of Trekking Hellas in Felli, Grevena, where we will prepare for Rafting in Venetikos & Aliakmonas. We gear up and put on our equipment, then board the Trekking Hellas vehicles to be transported to the rafting starting point. After a detailed demonstration of safety rules and rafting techniques, we are ready to get started! Our raft reserves many fun moments in a unique natural landscape, surrounded by forests with huge plane tree and sandstone rocks, similar to those of Meteora! We paddle between fascinating river crossings and make stops for diving and playing in the water! During our float we will have the opportunity to observe the special fauna of birds and mammals of the wetland, such as cormorants, herons and otters. At the end of our route, we meet again the vehicles that will take us back to the base, completing our beautiful experience.
The rafting takes place on the rivers Venetikos and Aliakmonas, located 45 'from Meteora and 15' from Grevena. The degree of rapids difficulty varies from grade 2 to grade 3 dpending on the seasons and the water level.
