A stone's throw away from buzzy Athens city (about 2 hours drive) is located the gorge of Petali, which ends at Petali beach. Petali Beach is a wildly beautiful beach with sand and small pebbles on the Aegean side of Evia island and is a very popular summer destination.
The canyon is well hidden in dense vegetation which, combined with its very narrow walls, make it shady throughout its length. We walk between narrow, impressive stone rocks and formations, abseil up to 10 meters high and enjoy this rare beauty. At the end we enjoy the clear blue waters of the Aegean sea, where we can enjoy diving and swimming!
In most months the canyon is dry, which makes it ideal for those who want to experience canyoning, even for the first time!
